La anfitriona acaparó todos los focos de atención tras haber anunciado su expreso deseo de cambiar el nombre oficial del país a “Bharat”, su nombre en sánscrito, una medida de distanciamiento del pasado colonial. Introduction:
The G20 summit was held on the 9th and 10th of September at the “Pragati Maidan” venue, located in New Delhi, the capital of India. The eighteenth edition was carried under the Indian presidency, who will hand over its rotating position to Brazil as of the 1st of December later this year. The host country was in the spotlight after having expressly announced its desire to change the country’s official name to “Bharat”, its Sanskrit name, a measure to distance itself from the colonial past.
