LA INTEGRACIÓN DE LA INTELIGENCIA ARTIFICIAL EN EL ÁMBITO MILITAR.
INTRODUCCIÓN:
En la actualidad vivimos en un mundo en el que son muchos los adjetivos calificativos por los cuales podemos definir nuestro entorno: cambiante, complejo, volátil, incierto, ambiguo… pero lo cierto es que es un tradicional “campo de batalla” que se ha transformado en un nuevo espacio multidimensional con una gran conectividad, estructurado en cinco dimensiones: tierra, mar, aire, espacio y ciberespacio.
En este sentido, el factor tecnológico cumple un papel fundamental en el teatro de operaciones militares llegando a convertirse en una capacidad crítica para la defensa de los Estados. La integración de tecnología de vanguardia en el ámbito militar, esencialmente la inteligencia artificial (en adelante IA), es uno de los principales desafíos a los que se enfrentan las principales potencias del S. XXI. A este singular reto se le suma una coyuntura bélica a nivel internacional, fuertemente marcada por el retorno de los conflictos de alta intensidad al continente europeo, que culmina con el estallido del conflicto ruso-ucraniano (2022-)….
THE INTEGRATION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE MILITARY FIELD.
INTRODUCTION:
At the present time, we are living in a world in which many qualifying adjectives can be used to describe our environment: changing, volatile, uncertain, ambiguous… but the truth is that it is a traditional “battlefield” which has been transformed into a new multidimensional space endowed with great interconnectivity and structured in five dimensions: earth, sea, air, space, and cyberspace.
In this sense, the technological factor plays a fundamental role in the military theatre of operations to the extent of becoming a critical capability for the defence of States. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in the military field is one of the main challenges that must be faced by the major powers of the 21st century, strongly shaped by the return of high intensity conflicts to the European continent, which culminates with the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict (2022-)….
